Osstell – the original with over 1,300 publications

The lighthouse as a guide and orientation aid: This is exactly what Osstell means for implantologists. The company's innovative technology enables predictable and effective dental implant procedures. Treating doctors can quickly and easily determine which implants can be prosthetically loaded with prosthetics, and which implants require more healing time. This results in more predictable and higher quality of treatment – for patients and doctors.

Dr. Marcus Dagnelid explains the implant treatment process. Osstell's ConsultationTool simplifies communication with patients and ensures transparency and trust.

Osstell's method is based on resonance frequency analysis, which makes it possible to measure the stability of an implant in the bone in a non-contact manner and without affecting biological healing. The result of this measurement is given as an implant stability quotient (ISQ) with a value between 1 and 100. The higher the value, the more stable the implant. By determining the ISQ value, implantologists can ensure that implants are only loaded until they have sufficiently healed.

Effective and predictable implant procedures

Osstell's innovative technology guarantees added value for all stakeholders. Clinicians can use the ISQ value as a guide to make evidence-based decisions. For this purpose, Osstell’s ISQ technology is proved by more than 1,300 scientific publications. A special highlight is the OsstellConnect and the treatment report, which informs patients about their implant healing progress. The tool also helps with planning and decision-making: for example, healing times could be optimised for different patients, clinical situations and implants. This way, treatment healing times can sometimes be shortened.

Efficient communication with patients builds trust

With Osstell's new ConsultationTool within the OsstellConnect platform, the implant treatment process can be visualised for patients, simplifying communication with patients and ensuring transparency and trust. The software enables dental professionals to describe the different steps of an implant procedure in an easy-to-understand way. "The consultation software fills a gap in the market. It enables my team and me to explain to patients in a simple way what we want to achieve with the treatment and where we are at the moment," says Dr Marcus Dagnelid, describing the advantages of the ConsultationTool. Osstell and the new ConsultationTool therefore help to strengthen patients’ confidence and compliance to treatment.
